ONLINE BOOKING
When you book a tour online, you will see a Booking confirmation page with a Confirmation code, stating tour departure time and date as well as your name and number of participants. You can write down the confirmation code, and that is all you need to show at check-in. Please consider the enviroment before printing out your ticket! We already have it in our system.
VALIDITY OF PRICES AND DEPARTURES
Prices are in Icelandic Krona (ISK) and are including VAT as shown on our web site. Prices and departures are guaranteed after full payment has been made.
WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
All our trips and outdoor activities are weather, and condition dependent. Iceguide reserve the right to cancel your trip with your safety in mind with short notice or on site.
The tours can be canceled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions, with short notice. In such cases, a full refund is provided.
Iceguide reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries, departure times and or cancel your trip without prior notice with your safety in mind, should the necessity arise.
We don’t refund the fee if the client is late or doesn’t show up even if the weather is very bad, in case we can do the trip. We recommend that participants stay in a hotel or guesthouse close to the tours departure locations the night before the tour because sometimes the road to us can be closed so clients have to do some arrangements in time.
CLOTHING
Appropriate footwear and suitable clothing must be worn at all times. Iceguide reserves the right to refuse participation if not correctly equipped since this will put the clients at risk. Information regarding clothing and footwear are on our website for each tour. Paricipants should be aware of what to bring and what is provided for the tour they participate. In case of refusal, a refund will not be possible.

Cancelation and Refund
- 48 hours cancellation policy. Full refund if cancelled more than 48 hours before departure.If you must reschedule or cancel the booking, please provide us with 48-hour notice. This way we might be able to resell the seats.
- Cancellations received less than 48 hours before tour departure, will not be refunded. This includes bookings made within 48 hours before departure.
- If clients cancel their tour more than 48 hours before departure, a 100% refund will be given.
- “No Shows” will not be refunded or if the client is not on time before the tour departure. Please be on time, 15-20 minutes before the departure time.
- Iceguide reserve the right to cancel your trip with your safety in mind.
- The tours can be canceled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions, with short notice. In such cases, a 100% refund is provided.
Note: We don’t refund if the client is late or doesn’t show up, or if the weather is not good and the tour is still on schedule. We recommend that participants stay in a hotel or guesthouse or in the area close the tours departures locations the night before the tour.
RESTRICTIONS
The following restrictions apply to children wishing to participate in our trips:
If participants are under age, authorization to participate has to be confirmed by a guardian.
Glacier lagoon kayaking: The age limit is 14 years old.
Glacier kayak adventure: The age limit is 14 years old.
Ice cave tour: The age limit is 10 years old.
Glacier hike and ice cave tour: The age limit is 16 years old.
Vatnajökull glacier walk: The age limit is 10 years old.
Ice cave and Helicopter tour: The age limit is 16 years old.
I understand that participating in outdoor activities involves a degree of personal risk, and that Iceguide, its partners and their guides cannot absolutely guarantee my safety.
I understand that my tour takes place in a wilderness environment, and thus subject to changing environmental conditions that may, without warning, increase that level of risk within the activities in which I am participating; I further understand that participation in wilderness activities may render certain rescue opportunities ineffective or unavailable.
I understand that human error and/or equipment failure may increase the level of risk associated with the activities in which I will be participating.
I declare that I am physically fit to participate in the activities for which I have enrolled, and that I will inform my guide, prior the departure of any medical conditions and/or previous injuries that may be triggered or aggravated by such activities.
I agree to follow all rules and safety guidelines as instructed by my guides prior to, and/or during the trip.
I am not in any way under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, nor will I be at any time during this trip.
Iceguide and its guides reserve the right to refuse service to anyone they deem unfit for participation in the activities for which they have enrolled. Iceguide reserves the right to change the tour itinerary and/or chosen route with safety in mind due to environmental factors and other factors outside human control.
Iceguide cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property that I choose to bring with me while participating in activities.
I agree to let Iceguide use any film or photographic record of my tour for promotional and/or commercial purposes.
I understand and acknowledge the risks I am undertaking by choosing to participate in activities, and assume all responsibility for exposing myself to these risks/dangers.

We don't repay the fee if the client is late, or doesn't show up even if the weather is very bad, in case that we are able to do the trip. So we recommend to stay in a hotel or guesthouse east of Skaftafell in Vatnajokull National Park, and west of the town Höfn.
INSURANCE
We advise all our clients to have insurance.
LIABILITY
No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, changes of flights, closed roads or other services or because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in bus schedules, or other similar causes. Iceguide does not assume responsibility for accidents or death that can be traced to the participant´s negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, war or other similar causes.
